I received my master's degree from the Missouri School of Journalism in visual editing and management.
Currently I work as the lead photo editor at Conde Nast digital, formerly I was a photo editor at Mashable.
Originally from Chicago, I have a passion for exploration and consider myself an avid traveller. I also enjoy watercolor painting, trying new restaurants and Bruce Springsteen (and One Direction, though shhh don't tell anyone).
My passion for journalism started at a young age, secretly watching scenes from Almost Famous in my neighbor's attic. Inspired by those now-classic Rolling Stone moments, I desperately fought to be a part of that journalistic world, working for my high school newspaper and attending NSPA conferences. In college, I found my strengths existed in the visual world. I studied photojournalism and practiced it at the Columbia Missourian, but found my place in photo editing. I worked as a photo editor at the newspaper until being offered the DOP job at Vox magazine, where I stayed for two years.
Feel free to contact me anytime, anywhere.
